drplus

drplus is a personal research tool run by Paul Mason on his own computer. It is not a public service and has no other users.

What it does: when Paul adds a YouTube video to a private playlist on his own account, drplus reads the video's captions, checks the main factual claims against published sources, and emails Paul a fact-check report.

It uses two Google permissions, both on Paul's own Google account only:

• YouTube (read-only): to see the videos Paul adds to his private "drplus" playlist, and the channels he subscribes to.
• Gmail (send only): to email the finished report to Paul. It cannot read, delete or change any email.
